The Sunday Edition of the AB Post is a unique aspect of this venture. It is a throwback to the days of when the Sunday morning newspaper was as much a part of life as getting dressed to go to church. My vision for it is a digital recreation of that tradition – something when you wake up Sunday you can enjoy over a cup of coffee as you start your day.
I also introduced a couple new features in this first edition.
The Sunday Edition includes both an online crossword puzzle and a word search. Honestly the word search might be a bit hard and is an Edmonton Oiler themed puzzle. I remember as a kid the Weekend papers always having a comic section – so I added two new comic strips that we created. The first is called ” The Bitter Truth ” which is a satirical look at our world and it’s contradictions. The second is called the ” Old Side of Life ” and is a humorous look at getting older and seeing life through the eyes of experience and getting cranky.
