Lac Ste. Anne County Seeks Real Estate Partners for Property Transactions

The County is Looking for Real Estate Agents to Represent them in Marketing and Listing Services for the Next Two Years.

LAC STE. ANNE COUNTY, AB — In a move aimed at bolstering its real estate strategy, Lac Ste. Anne County has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking experienced real estate professionals. The initiative, announced on December 13, 2025, invites agents to assist the county with property transactions on an as-needed basis.

What’s on the Table?

The county’s RFP outlines a robust set of responsibilities for the chosen vendor, emphasizing marketing, negotiation, and administrative expertise. Tasks include:

  • Crafting marketing strategies for county-owned properties
  • Creating and distributing promotional materials
  • Listing tax sale properties
  • Conducting property tours for potential buyers
  • Assisting with municipal property acquisitions
  • Analyzing and negotiating offers
  • Overseeing real estate transaction closings

The selected agent or firm will also play a key advisory role, helping the county navigate complex property sales and purchases.

Contract Details

The agreement offers a two-year term, with the potential for renewal. However, the contract does not guarantee exclusivity, leaving the county free to collaborate with multiple real estate agents or firms.

This approach aligns with the county’s goal of maintaining flexibility while ensuring the highest quality of service for its diverse real estate needs.

Key Deadlines and Criteria

Proposals must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. MST on January 21, 2025. Submissions are to be delivered in person, via courier, or by mail—electronic submissions will not be accepted.

The county will evaluate proposals using a weighted system:

  • Meeting scope of work requests: 25%
  • Fees: 35%
  • Marketing methods: 20%
  • Qualifications, experience, and references: 20%

Notably, Lac Ste. Anne County emphasizes that the lowest bid will not necessarily secure the contract, reserving the right to reject proposals or waive irregularities at its discretion.

Opportunities for Local Real Estate Professionals

“This RFP represents a great opportunity for real estate professionals to collaborate with the county in managing its property portfolio,” said Matthew Ferris, General Manager of Growth and Compliance.

From marketing and negotiating to overseeing transactions, the county’s requirements highlight its commitment to finding agents who can deliver results with professionalism and innovation.

How to Get Involved

Interested agents are encouraged to review the full RFP and tailor their proposals to meet the county’s specific needs. Detailed inquiries can be directed to Matthew Ferris at mferris@lsac.ca or (780) 785-3411.

As the January deadline approaches, the county looks forward to engaging with local talent to meet its real estate goals. Whether managing tax sales or acquiring properties for municipal use, this initiative underscores Lac Ste. Anne County’s dedication to strategic growth and operational efficiency.
