Temporary Administrative Clerk(s) assist in the delivery all office administrative duties required by Departments. Duties can range from data entry, record keeping, document preparation, providing information to the public, and other duties as required.
This is a temporary position for up to one (1) year to provide needed support during employee leaves.
Job Requirements
- Provision of general Administrative Support services to Department(s).
- Ensuring that optimal service standards are maintained by providing a positive experience when interacting with external and internal clients of the County.
- Accept and provide administrative processing on a variety of documents, and requests, received by the County.
- Provide professional written and verbal communication with all concerned parties in areas such as enforcement, planning and development, and legislative services.
- Assist all other departments as required and perform other duties as assigned.
- Develop reports or municipal agenda items as needed.
- Review of media for information, articles, and ads of interest to the County
- Provide support at front reception with assisting members of the public in person or by phone.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communications and report-writing skills as well as a demonstrated ability to deal with the public, administration and elected officials in a courteous and efficient manner.
- A background in agenda and minute preparation would be an asset.
- An understanding of filing and record maintenance would be an asset.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical information.
- Strong customer relation skills and the ability to interact with the public daily.
- Must be proactive, well-organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Salary range: $49,700 – $59,233 based on an annual salary.
Hours of Work: Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 4:30 pm based on a 35-hour workweek.
