Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Powersports Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our powersports/marine service department. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge and a passion for the powersports/marine industry.
• *Duties**:
– Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
– Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
– Provide recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance based on mechanic’s assessments
– Upsell additional services or products to enhance the customer’s vehicle performance and safety
– Schedule appointments and manage the service department’s daily workflow
– Communicate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs
– Provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of their vehicles
– Handle cash transactions, including collecting payments for services rendered
– Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repairs, and payments
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a powersports or marine dealership or repair shop
– Strong mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with mechanics and understand repair recommendations
– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve customer concerns
– Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell services and products
– Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage appointments and workflow efficiently
